Let’s make Idaho a better place for families.

Fixing the law will strengthen families.

Physicians can provide women with necessary medical care.

It’s up to all of us to protect motherhood in Idaho.

“It’s hard to move on because you’re just constantly reminded by the stories that you hear…These people either have to take their non-viable children to term or they have to leave the state. They’re being hunted by their state for a child they want.

Expectant and future moms need our help now.

Sadly, not every woman is lucky enough to have a complication-free pregnancy. In Idaho, these women are facing some horrible situations. But we can help them and future moms by updating Idaho’s abortion laws to provide clear exceptions for evidenced-based, medically necessary abortions in the following circumstances:

  • Preserve the life and health of the mother

  • Lethal fetal anomalies inconsistent with life outside the womb

  • Pregnancy caused by rape or incest

The health of moms matters.

Expectant moms shouldn’t be put in life-or-death situations before doctors can intervene. Idaho’s abortion laws should be updated to allow medically necessary terminations to preserve the health of the mother, including her ability to have more children in the future. This would:

  • Make Idaho a safe place for women to grow their families

  • Help women feel comfortable becoming pregnant in Idaho

  • Allow women to be treated using evidenced-based care

Doctors need to be allowed to practice evidence-based care.

Doctors are trained to protect the health of their patients. Idaho’s abortion laws are making it impossible for doctors to provide moms timely, medically necessary treatment. We need to reform our laws, so physicians can practice medicine using evidence-based care without fear of criminal prosecution. Changes to the law would:

  • Improve patients access to care

  • Create a safer environment for doctors to practice medicine in Idaho

  • Keep doctors in Idaho and recruit more physicians
